Experience Wiesbaden with its unique symbiosis of historical flair and urban life style.
The Hessische Staatstheater, the world-famous Kurhaus and the Grand Hotel Nassauer Hof form the cultural and civic centre of the state capital of Hesse. Wilhelms IX, the modern interpretation of a villa quarter, is located only a few metres from Wilhelmstraße.
Between spa and culture
The capital of Hesse has been welcoming the world since the days of the Empire at the turn of the 18th to 19th centuries. As well housing the royal court, the town was also a spa and holiday destination for many prominent guests. Here health is a tradition.
The architecture is an added bonus. Since very little of the town was destroyed in the Second World War, it presents a harmonious, unified appearance. Almost all the buildings date from the Classicism, Historicism or Art Nouveau periods. Wiesbaden is full of impressive buildings: the red brick market church, the Baroque castle Biebricher Schloss on the bank of the Rhine and the spa house.
Experience the town of Wiesbaden and its unique flair. Admire the breath-taking façades and idiosyncratic restaurants in Taunusstraße or enjoy the festivals at the Kochbrunnen fountain. Saunter through the spa gardens, the castle park and the other parks or stroll along the riverside promenade along the Rhine in Schierstein. Enjoy the view over the whole of Wiesbaden from the Neroberg mountain. Whether you are seeking a spa or culture, Wiesbaden simply does you good.
In the centre of Wiesbaden
Urban, historic, unique
Wiesbaden is characterised by the diversity of its cultural programme. This is particularly perceptible in the inner city with festivals, concerts from international artists and an extremely vast range of events.
Come here and experience a unique symbiosis of historical flair and urban life style. The Hessische Staatstheater, the world-famous Kurhaus and the Grand Hotel Nassauer Hof form the geographical and cultural centre of the town.
Wilhelmstraße - known to the Wiesbaden natives as the "Rue" - is the pulse of the inner city. The city centre is within walking distance and there you will find tasteful furniture shops, a variety of supermarkets and renowned fashion brands. Once a week a large market offers regional products and international specialities. And amongst all these delights there is greenery everywhere. For example the Kurpark, which extends from the inner city to Sonnenberg, is an idyll - 75,000 square metres laid out in the English landscape garden style.
Elegance and a rich history.
From the Badehaus spa to modern town villas. The land occupied by the town villas has played an important role in Wiesbaden's history.
In 1842 the Hotel Düringer was built. In its day its bathing facilities made it not only a particularly modern spa hotel, but also a sought-after meeting point for the nobility and prominent members of society. For example, the Russian author, Fjodor Dostojewsk was a frequent visitor to the spa's casino. In 1857 the hotel changed hands and was renamed the "Victoria Hotel and Spa". It has made a considerable contribution to Wiesbaden's reputation as a spa town.
Decline and new beginnings In March 1945 the hotel was destroyed by an air raid. The historic villas from the industrial expansion period of the 19th century in its vicinity remained standing, but the hotel disappeared completely from the cityscape. In its place for a long time there stood a car park. Now Wilhelms IX with its nine modern town villas coordinates well with the overall impression. They define a modern cityscape by providing stylish residences in historic surroundings.
Nine town villas, nine identities.
Who are Wilhem's Nine? Wilhelm I, the first Duke of Nassau, had several wives and a large family. The nine town villas in Wilhelms IX are named after the ladies, who played a significant part in his life. In the future Wilhelms IX will enhance the town centre and imbue it with its own identity.

Representative and characteristic
Wilhelms IX is the modern interpretation of a villa quarter: individual town villas with pitched and flat roofs. These houses have an identity, a name and a face.
The façades have been designed for diversity and are characterised by thoughtfully designed details and quality materials, such as natural stone, sandstone and clinker brick. Each town villa offers its inhabitants and guests a prestigious entrance and a lift. Floor-to-ceiling windows guarantee light-flooded rooms. In addition to the private gardens of the ground-floor apartments, all the residents may use the green areas laid out as attractive parks. The nine town villas blend harmoniously into their surroundings.
Well-considered residential concepts
Succinct solutions from A to Z. From the exclusive penthouse with its own lift through the stylish maisonette apartment or a spacious house-within-a-house town apartment to a garden flat on the mezzanine floor.
An apartment floor plan designed for the individual is indispensable for you to feel at ease and totally comfortable in your home. The design sets out clear lines. The luxuriously designed façades hint at the inner values, which await you indoors. They represent the quality standards of the entire building. Indoors the open, transparent floor plans provide a feeling of freedom and flexibility sought by persons of discernment. Liberal overall, meticulous in the details.
Multi-faceted residential mix: The surface areas start from 50 square metres and go up to 195 square metres and are divided into two to six rooms. This mix makes Wilhelms IX an interesting proposition for single persons, couples and families and offers a diverse residential environment.
Unrivalled comfort: Each apartment has barrier-free access, for the lift in all the houses goes from the underground car park up to every floor. The clear room heights in all the apartments go from approximately 2.70 to 3.80 metres.
Many of the apartments have a bathroom lit by bright daylight. You can enjoy breakfast or a quiet evening after work in the open air on your own balcony, loggia or (roof) terrace.
Additional haven: The green areas are laid out as a park to form the hub of the town villas.
