Instone Celebrates Opening of Day-Care Centre in Hanover’s Bult District

Accommodating 30 in the crèche and 25 in the preschool /// Sustainable construction methods and homage to the historic building complex to the neighbourhood /// Operator Maschseekinder gemeinnützige GmbH went live on 1 August

Essen/Hanover, 2 August 2019: Instone Real Estate, a German residential developer, just completed a day-care centre in Hanover accommodating a total of 55 children, 30 thereof in a crèche for toddlers up to the age of three and 25 thereof in a preschool for children older than three. Together with Borough Mayor Lothar Pollähne, the company caused the youngsters’ eyes to light up at Robert-Koch-Platz 9a in Hanover-Bult yesterday. Instone thought of a very special way to celebrate the opening of the day-care centre in Bult on 1 August 2019: To make sure that the go-kart track in the large outdoor area could be put to the test immediately, Instone gifted five Bobby cars to the day-care centre, which was completed in July.

“Bult is very popular among families with small children because of its green and peaceful setting, so that the demand for day-care spots is predictably rather high. The new day-care centre with its lovely outdoor area has therefore been warmly welcomed by the neighbourhood,” said Leo Lenze, head of the day-care centre on Robert-Koch-Platz which is operated by the non-profit company Maschseekinder GmbH.

The building that Instone Real Estate raised on the plot of 1,215 square metres references the protected heritage building complex next door through its architecture, which is inspired by the Bauhaus style. Roughly half of the site area is available to the children as outdoor area for romping around. Aside from the go-kart track, there is a playhouse in the form of a construction site trailer, a slope slide, a water feature and a nest swing.

Instone Real Estate will get to open plenty of new day-care centres in the coming years. Between now and 2025, the property developer will create around 1,400 new daycare spots. Albrecht Sonnenschein, Head of Branch Hamburg, said: “I’m glad we were able to contribute to the expansion of the social infrastructure of the growing city of Hanover, working together with city hall and the State of Lower Saxony. But the sheer joy of the facility’s new users who are impatiently waiting on the starting line is frankly more palpable today than the long-term benefits.”
